Root Fertilization
Request an Estimate
We live in a managed society and our landscapes are no longer as natural as the forest that was cut down to build our cities. Trees in urban settings have to be properly managed because of the constant stresses they are exposed to. Without the native forest floor, the tree's root zone no longer has the provided organic matter to break down and turn into needed nutrients. Urban trees have a shorter life expectancy compared to the same trees in the forest. Fertilization will help supplement lacking nutrients and increase the tree's health and life expectancy.
The Best Time to Fertilize
The best times to fertilize your trees and shrubs is in the late fall and early spring. This is when the soil temperature and moisture is at the ideal level for nutrient uptake. A single application per year is usually enough for most plants. Some plants may need more than one, depending on their condition. If only one application is needed, we recommend fall treatment.
