Seeding Your Lawn

Fall is a great time to seed your lawn. Use the hot summer months to inspect your lawn to see how it is performing. Heat is very tough on most varieties of grass, although newer varieties are more tolerant to heat.
What To Look For:
- Check for thin areas that may need to be reseeded this fall.
- Look for disease problems in your lawn by examining yellow or brown spots.
The best lawns start with the best grass. Start with improved tall fescue varieties. There are a lot of tall fescues on the market, so be specific.
Your seed should be:
- Free of any weed seeds
- Free of any inferior grass varieties
- Free of any type of rye grass
